Our client, a respected and expanding ecological consultancy, is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their Andover:based team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ecologist looking to take the next step in their career, with real responsibility, autonomy, and progression prospects.
The Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering projects from start to finish, supporting junior staff, and maintaining high technical standards across a diverse portfolio of work.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and undertaking a range of habitat and protected species surveys
*
Producing and reviewing high:quality ecological reports (PEAs, PRAs, EcIAs, HRAs where relevant)
*
Providing technical advice to clients and project teams
*
Managing projects, including timelines and budgets
*
Mentoring and supporting junior ecologists
*
Assisting with mitigation design, licensing, and implementation
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*
A degree (or equivalent) in Ecology or a related field
*
Several years experience in ecological consultancy
*
Strong report:writing and project management skills
*
Good working knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
*
Membership of CIEEM (or eligibility)
*
Protected species licences (or demonstrable experience working towards them)
*
A full UK driving licence
