Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours p/w) Permanent

As a Practice Development Officer, you'll make a difference to people's lives every day. You will work with various organizations and services across Scotland, including schools, NHS services, third sector services such as homelessness services, foodbanks, community hubs, LGBTQ+ services, carers services, bereavement support, and other mental health support services. Your role will involve providing compassionate responses to reduce the risk to people who self-harm and responding effectively to their distress in community settings. You will focus on supporting adults who self-harm as well as the organizations supporting them.
Penumbra has been delivering this service since 2021. You will play a lead role in sharing our learnings and supporting teams across Scotland by working closely with organizations and communities. Your responsibilities include delivering programs such as Self-Harm Awareness Training, raising awareness of available support, group work, staff and volunteer workshops, drop-in sessions, and parent/carer group sessions.
