Here you\'ll take the lead of the shift, working with your team of baristas to create our Starbucks Experience for our customers with high quality service, beverages and products, while creating our third place environment.
We\'re looking for candidates with previous coaching or supervisory experience in a customer facing role to lead shifts with our customers at the core, coaching your team and creating a positive learning environment for partners on shift. You\'ll solve problems in the moment and bring experience in leading operational activities in a retail or hospitality environment to achieve results through operational excellence. You\'ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners know they belong. The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same.
Responsibilities
* Collaborating with the Store Manager, leading great shifts, supporting partners and inspiring best moments and the Starbucks Experience for our partners and customers.
* Setting priorities by leveraging existing tools and resources to determine roles and delegate tasks, looking at ways to drive the profitability of your store.
* Inspiring and motivating the store team to make every moment right for our partners and customers, including pre-empting and adapting to any potential issues and addressing/resolving any that arise to optimise the customer experience.
* Identifying teachable moments to share best practices with the team.
* Seeing challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
* Executing store operations during scheduled shifts, including organising opening and closing duties.
* Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
* Providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards and following health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Qualifications
• Previous coaching or supervisory experience in a customer facing role. • Experience leading operational activities in a retail or hospitality environment is beneficial. • Ability to solve problems on shift and manage a team to achieve goals. • Strong communication and leadership skills to create a positive learning environment and uphold Starbucks standards.

Working hours and Training
Given the nature of our stores, working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays. All retail store partners begin their careers with an introductory training programme led by in-store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in Starbucks culture and set you up for success. Training programmes are delivered in our stores and provide partners with on-the-job learning supported by their manager.
