ESTATES & FACILITIES DEPARTMENT — Mechanical Fitter (REF:)
Band 4: £29,116 - £31,670 pro rata per annum; 37 hours per week, Permanent. You may be required to travel widely in order to deliver service needs. NHS Borders requires a mechanical maintenance fitter, preferably experienced in hospital services, steam/boiler, ventilation equipment and associated plant.
Responsibilities
* Join a small team responsible for providing technical support within Borders General Hospital and community properties.
* Make safe, repair and maintain various mechanical services within Borders General Hospital and the wider community sites.
* Operate and maintain industrial plant; work unsupervised when required and keep accurate records.
* Provide technical assistance to ensure reliable operation of mechanical systems.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial plant.
* Ability to work unsupervised and keep accurate records.
* Preferably experienced in hospital services, steam/boiler, ventilation equipment and associated plant.
