We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join our team. You will be part of our Software Engineering squads, working with talented engineers and performing complex research, design, and implementation within a software functional area or product line.
About The Role
You will develop, refactor, fix, test, and review new software functionality, improvements, and bug fixes to our product portfolio. You will also provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products.
As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be a champion for engineering and open to new ideas and technology. You will foster an innovative culture, handle stakeholder meetings, and discussions with other business entities to bring products to market.
Responsibilities
* Develop, refactor, fix, test, and review new software functionality, improvements, and bug fixes to our flagship enterprise products.
* Work with the development team on design and code refactoring to ensure a quality code base.
* Peer code review to promote best practice and continuous improvement.
* Test your own code and your colleague’s code.
* Liaise with Customer Support Team to help diagnose and solve problems.
* Collaborate with other team members to apply new ideas, practices, and tools to improve the team’s effectiveness.
* Write and review detailed documentation for the development of microservices.
* Keep abreast of new technology developments and bring these into the business, particularly GenAI.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering or a related field.
* Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
* Proficiency with data manipulation languages and familiarity with complex data models.
* Experience with development languages and technologies such as Java, Spring, Docker, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of test-driven or behavior-driven development is a plus, but not required.
* Openness to learning new technologies and processes.
* Familiarity with industry best practices.
* Ability to contribute to and review technical specifications and participate in the development of system components.
* Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
* Strong communication skills, with an ability to share ideas and designs effectively through documentation and collaboration.
