About the Role
We are recruiting for a Despatch Manager to lead our busy despatch department within a fast-paced food production environment. This is a key leadership role, ensuring that all finished goods are accurately picked, packed, stored, and dispatched on time, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Manage and oversee all despatch operations, ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently and accurately.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of despatch staff to achieve daily targets.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards always.
* Monitor stock rotation and storage conditions, maintaining traceability and minimising waste.
* Work closely with Production, Planning, and Third-Party Hauliers to ensure smooth workflow.
* Implement and maintain effective systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Report on despatch performance, KPI achievement, and improvement opportunities.
About You
* Proven experience in a leadership role within warehousing, or logistics.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment.
* Good working knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP/BRC/IFS) and health & safety regulations.
* Competent IT skills.
* Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong command of English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication in this role
