Forensic science is used to support the investigation of crime. It can be used to provide evidence to support or refute an allegation, a version of events, and a person’s involvement in an offence. The Forensics Department is committed to providing quality, objective, timely and effective forensic services to inform investigations, identify offenders, safeguard victims and witnesses, and streamline justice through good and early case management.

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Forensic Case Management Advisor within the Forensic Case Management Unit.
The purpose of the role is to assess submissions in complex and serious investigations for forensic potential and devise suitable forensic strategies. You will need to be able to provide detailed technical advice in a range of forensic processes, coordinate forensic work requests and ensure all relevant force systems are kept up to date with accurate information.

The role is full time 37 hours per week Monday – Friday.
Location is Staffordshire Police HQ.
There will be a requirement to work outside these hours for urgent work. Standby arrangements would be required.
Successful applicants will be invited to complete a Technical Assessment before selection for an interview.
