Rate: Up to £400 per day (inside IR35) Overview We are recruiting an experienced OpenShift Administrator / Automation Engineer to support a large enterprise platform within the Banking & Financial Services sector. This role suits candidates with experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally banking or financial services, where strong controls, security, and compliance are essential. Key Responsibilities Automate infrastructure and platform processes to reduce manual intervention Develop and maintain automation for RedHat OpenShift environments Create, test, and support automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Shell) Integrate automation with enterprise systems and REST APIs Identify automation opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and well-documented Monitor and troubleshoot automated workflows Track delivery and documentation using Jira and Confluence Essential Skills & Experience 510 years experience in automation, platform, or infrastructure engineering Hands-on RedHat OpenShift administration (essential) Strong scripting skills: Python, PowerShell, Shell Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes Automation tools: Ansible, Jenkins REST API integration Experience working in regulated enterprise environments Version control: Git / SVN Ability to work independently and manage deliverables Ideal Candidate Background Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services Comfortable operating within strict governance, risk, and compliance frameworks Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical platforms Desirable ArgoCD / GitOps experience Test automation exposure (Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework) Experience in DevOps or Agile delivery environments
