Design Manager / Senior Design Engineer / Department Manager
Location: East Sussex (Hybrid role so national)
Salary: up to GBP 60,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

Responsibilities
* Develop designs from existing architect concepts to construction, ensuring aesthetics, buildability, programme, budget and sustainability.
* Specify materials, components and finishes that meet the project brief, regulations, commercial viability and availability.
* Collaborate with the design team and liaise with the production facility in the Netherlands and installers in the UK.
* Maintain meticulous document control and manage client communication to satisfy contracts and capture variations.
* Ensure relationships with clients and external customers are developed and maintained.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proficiency in AutoCAD with parametric modelling for 3D CAD (preferred) or Autodesk Fusion 360.
* Experience with helical / spiral stair design.
* Background in BIM.
* Familiarity with bespoke metalwork, architectural products and design of stairs & balustrades.
* Strong communication skills with internal departments, customers and suppliers.
* Project management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
* Adaptability, initiative and multi‑tasking.
* Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
* Commercial awareness.
