To operate 7.5T vehicles and perform various services such as food collections, bulky collections, bin deliveries, or Mini-Sweeper driving, as per contract requirements. Be prepared to work in other roles when vehicles are off-road, including driving 3.5T vans for street cleansing or bin deliveries, or non-driving roles in cleansing or collections. Able to drive vehicles up to 7.5T and lead rounds for safe and efficient daily operations.
You’ll be entrusted to:
* Carry out scheduled & responsive refuse & recycling collections daily, with knowledge of machinery involved.
* Understand contract requirements and waste specifications for refuse, recycling, food, and garden waste.
* Work as part of a team to ensure service completion on your round and assist others as needed.
* Minimize missed bins, ensure properties are correctly recorded, and report issues accurately.
* Undertake street cleaning duties, including litter picking, animal fouling removal, and sweeping using various tools and vehicles.
* Collect missed bins promptly upon notification.
* Tag bins during Christmas and as required throughout the year to inform residents of service changes.
Responsible for collecting electronic devices left by residents, ensuring proper handling and disposal according to policies.
