Bernstein & Banleys is a well-established, family-run textile merchants based in Southend-on-Sea supplying linings and trimmings to the bespoke tailoring, fashion and theatre/film industries.
We have a great opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, team-playing Sales Administrator who's ready to work and learn to join our close-knit team.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Receive incoming calls and e-mails from customers dealing with enquiries, quotations and orders
* Accurately process orders onto our in-house system in a timely fashion
* Allocate stock for orders
* Liaise directly with the customers by telephone and e-mail, ensuring quality customer service in every situation
* Work closely with colleagues in the Sales team and in the Warehouse to ensure customer orders are processed correctly and efficiently
* General administrative duties as required
The Candidate:
* Experience working in a sales/merchanting environment
* Experience and understanding of stock allocation
* Strong IT skills, including proficient knowledge of Outlook
* Strong communication skills
* Well organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Open to learning how to use new software (full training will be provided)
* Textile and/or tailoring knowledge is a plus
