We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern. The salary for this position is £39,500 plus Shift Allowance.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
* Provide rapid response to breakdowns when required.
* Fault find, troubleshoot and maintain, repair conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
* Follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s.
* Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize operation effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
* Assist specialist subcontractor’s requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
* Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
* Ensure Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
* Keep and maintain all company‑issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
* Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can‑do attitude.
* Complete any other associated tasks requested by management.
* Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained.
* Read, understand and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
* PLC qualification.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
