Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating a trustworthy environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and confidentiality, and may be assigned to various locations based on business needs. Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately, maintain a safe environment, verify patient demographic information, and maintain records. Promote a positive image to patients and staff.
Job Requirements:
* Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
* Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code
* Good judgment and decision-making skills
* Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable
* Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
* Strong customer focus and communication skills
Required Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
* Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
Work Experience:
* At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections
* Preferred: 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment
* Customer service experience in retail or service sector preferred
* Keyboard/data entry experience
