Our client, a leading professional legal firm, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Private Client team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will provide proactive, high-level support to the Private Client team, contributing to the efficient and effective running of the department. You will manage a varied and engaging caseload, working closely with Partners and senior colleagues as a key member of the team. What you’ll do Administration of trusts and executries, including high-value taxable estates Assisting with asset protection and capital gains tax mitigation in relation to trusts and executries Managing guardianship administration matters Drafting wills and powers of attorney Maintaining regular client contact via telephone, email, and written correspondence Working collaboratively with the wider Private Client team, including Partners, Solicitors, Paralegals, and Trust and Tax Accountants Ensuring effective financial management of your own caseload What You’ll Need Previous experience within a Private Client team is essential Experienced in executries and trust administration, together with drafting wills and powers of attorney, are strongly encouraged to apply The ability to manage your own caseload effectively while working to strict deadlines and balancing competing priorities A strong commitment to delivering the highest standards of client care and service is essential, alongside a proactive approach to learning and keeping technical knowledge up to date You will demonstrate excellent accuracy and attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate confidently and clearly, adapting your approach appropriately when engaging with colleagues and clients.
