Holmen Board & Paper is a world-class integrated pulp and paperboard mill producing premium paperboard for clients worldwide. The company actively invests in bioenergy and since 2013 has been carbon neutral, powered entirely on carbon-free energy. The Role
We have a vacancy for a Head of HR to lead the HR Strategy and People function at our Workington site. With overall responsibility for the HR function and its people, you will play an integral role in creating a sustainable future for our site, our community, and our customers.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver the overall HR strategy aligned to the business needs
2. Preparing, controlling and meeting the agreed annual HR budget
3. Advising the Management Team and maintaining excellence in:
o Succession planning
o Rewards and benefits including workplace pensions
o Talent Management
o Performance Review
o Salary review and benchmarking
o Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
o Leadership development
4. Monitoring and reporting on critical KPIs
5. Providing expert advice and ensure compliance with employment law and ACAS regulations
6. Promoting the Company Brand to maintain positive standing in the local community
7. Providing expert advice and ensuring the Company exceeds expected standards for Health, Wellbeing and Safety:
o Occupational Health
o Organisational compliance with the site legal register
o Fire Risk
o Business Continuity and site insurances
About You
We're looking for a true, credible, strategic HR Leader. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll provide the strategic direction for the HR function as well as supporting the Managing Director in critical decisions across the business. With the support of an HR Manager and HR Advisor, you'll collaborate across business functions in helping drive areas of development, performance, and engagement to achieve strategic goals. To be successful, you'll need a wealth of HR experience behind you and a wider appreciation of manufacturing/engineering. Don't meet every single requirement?
