Role Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to support Professor Matt Gaunt and his 25+ research group. The role also supports the CDT Programme for which Professor Gaunt is the Director, currently running in the department.
Responsibilities
Complex diary management; circulating and responding to frequently urgent information; complex travel arrangements; handling expense claims; arranging meetings; preparing documents, letters and reports; liaison with the Department, University and external stakeholders; dealing with the annual Research Fish submission; monitoring grant expenditure against budgets; updating the course website as required; and providing full administrative assistance.
Qualifications and Requirements
The successful candidate will be educated to HND level or have the equivalent level of practical experience. They must have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, be highly competent in Microsoft Office, have good time management and the ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload.
Working Hours and Location
This role is suitable for a minimum of 25 hours per week up to full time, with days and hours negotiable on appointment if part time is preferred. However, the successful candidate is expected to work in the department for a minimum of 4 days a week.
