Job Title: Project Director – Commercial Office Fit Out\n\nLocation: London\n\nSalary: Up to £150,000 + Package\n\nCompany Overview:\n\nOur client is a leading fit-out contractor based in London, known for delivering high-quality CAT A and CAT B commercial office fit-out projects. With a strong reputation in the industry, they are committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for some of the most prestigious commercial projects across the city. As the business continues to grow, we are now looking to recruit a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to oversee a range of exciting projects with values of up to £25m.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nAs a Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of multiple CAT A and CAT B commercial office fit-out projects.
You will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects from pre-construction and tender stages through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a senior leadership role, where you will work closely with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to manage project performance, drive efficiency, and ensure a seamless fit-out experience.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProject Leadership: Lead and manage a portfolio of CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects, each with a value of up to £25m.\n\nPre-Construction & Tendering: Oversee the pre-construction phase, managing the tendering process and ensuring the selection of the most suitable contractors, suppliers, and consultants.\n\nProject Delivery: Ensure successful project delivery, from initial design through to final handover, maintaining strict quality control and compliance with all regulatory standards.\n\nBudget & Schedule Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient cost control and adherence to agreed schedules.\n\nStakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and consultants.\n\nHealth & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle, fostering a safety-first culture.\n\nTeam Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project team, fostering collaboration and ensuring continuous improvement.\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nProven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager within the commercial fit-out sector, specifically for CAT A and CAT B office projects.\n\nExtensive experience managing large-scale fit-out projects with values of up to £25m.\n\nIn-depth understanding of pre-construction, tendering, and project delivery processes.\n\nStrong financial acumen with a track record of successfully managing project budgets and schedules.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nKnowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and quality control standards.\n\nA degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.\n\nChartership (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is desirable but not essential.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary of up to £150,000, based on experience.\n\nAttractive benefits package, including car allowance, pension, private healthcare, and more.\n\nOpportunity to work with a leading fit-out contractor on prestigious commercial projects.\n\nA supportive and dynamic working environment with opportunities for career progression
