We’re seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Anniesland. This role is vital in helping our business grow and succeed. The Operations Manager ensures smooth store operations, making Morrisons a better place for customers to shop and colleagues to work.
Deputising for the Store Manager, the Operations Manager creates an inclusive environment where all managers and colleagues feel valued. They demonstrate strong leadership skills and oversee all store aspects, including achieving operational KPI targets, maintaining high store standards, ensuring safety and legal compliance, and motivating managers to build a high-performing, engaged team.
As the Operations Manager, your responsibilities include:
1. Being accountable for end-to-end store operations, ensuring appropriate resources to deliver routines to the highest standards.
2. Identifying, developing, and mentoring talent across the store and wider region to create a pipeline of successors.
3. Building the capability of the management team through accountability and development plans.
4. Partnering with the People Manager to foster a culture of adaptability and support managers through change.
5. Ensuring compliance with food safety laws and maintaining safe and legal standards across all departments.
6. Supporting managers with forward-thinking action plans to enhance performance.
7. Contributing to the development of the annual store plan with a commercial mindset to maximize performance.
8. Developing local ideas within the framework to exceed sales targets and motivate colleagues.
9. Building relationships with key stakeholders to implement continuous improvements for the customer.
10. Leading by example to deliver exceptional standards focused on customer needs.
11. Overseeing processes affecting product availability and enhancing management team feedback for continuous improvement.
12. Engaging with customers to gather feedback and incorporate it into improvement plans, working with central teams for ongoing service enhancement.

About you
Previous experience in retail is essential, particularly managing a large customer-facing operation with over £150k weekly turnover.
You also need to have:
