Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner
* Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
* Handle correspondence, including emails and clinical letters
* Respond to needs of the doctors and nurses during surgery
* Input and extract information from the Practice computer system
* Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions and raising prescriptions as per practice protocols
* Always observe health and safety guidelines
* Always observe Confidentiality policy and guidelines
* Opening up / locking up of practice premises (where required) and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
Qualifications
* Experience of dealing with the public and providing outstanding customer service is essential
* Excellent communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are also essential
* NHS experience is desirable, along with knowledge of systmOne. However, full training will be given
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* A professional demeanour with a customer-focused attitude
* The ability to cover planned absences would be required
