Peripatetic (mobile catering staff) required in the area.
As a Mobile catering assistant, you will travel to different schools in the Hyndburn, Burnley and surrounding area to cover where necessary. Must Be willing to train as a kitchen supervisor. Must be able to drive. Mileage allowance is given for this role.
Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service
You will work as part of a team in Primary Schools in the Hyndburn and surrounding areas providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away
Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
Clean all equipment and catering areas
What we are looking for:
Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools
Willing to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
Good customer care skills
Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable
Working Hours/Days:
Monday to Friday
Term time only
20 hours per week minimum, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake
