Mission: As part of the wider Sustainable Development team in the UK&I, the Sustainability Specialist will play an integral role in planning, driving and executing sustainability and wider environment projects cross the UK&I territory in order to achieve Schneider Electric’s sustainability commitments. The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible to drive cross-functional projects across the UK and Ireland, while also improving and driving employee engagement around sustainability topics.
Key responsibilities
* Work directly with sites, facility management providers, suppliers, business functions etc. to collect sustainability and environment data.
* Input and manage data quality and coverage in Resource Advisor and other tools, in line with reporting requirements.
* Analyse sustainability data and prepare reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, highlighting variances against previous reporting periods and working to understand these.
* Use data to drive evidence based, strategic decision making (e.g. waste improvements, real estate decarbonisation, energy efficiency programmes).
* Develop and execute clear project plans, including timelines for deployment, to ensure sustainability targets and wider business objectives are met.
* Engage with key stakeholders to ensure progress towards sustainability targets.
* Support business functions on sustainability integration.
* Collaborate with a number of stakeholders, internal and external, on sustainability topics.
* Drive wider territory engagement on sustainability topics through the development of training programmes, written communications etc.

* Displayed interest in sustainability.
* Data management and analysis skills.
* Proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability programmes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
Education
* Bachelors degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or related field required or relevant post graduate degree.
