Job Title: School Catering Area Support Manager
Location: North East (travel across multiple sites required)
Salary: £26,264.52 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Term Time + 4 Weeks
Hours: 37.5 per week
Start Date: ASAP
Driving Licence & Vehicle Required (mileage paid at 45p per mile)
Are you an experienced catering professional ready to lead, support, and make an impact across multiple school sites? Mellors Catering Services is looking for a School Catering Area Support Manager to provide operational cover, staff support, and service continuity across 20 school kitchens in the North East.
Key Duties:
Cover and manage kitchens during staff absence
Lead teams and ensure service and safety standards
Train and support catering staff and managers
Handle audits, paperwork, and stock management
Build positive client relationships
Support occasional weekend events (B&I)
What You'll Need:
Strong catering and leadership background
Ability to bake, cook, and lead hands-on
Excellent organisational and people skills
Flexibility to travel and adapt to different environments
Full UK driving licence and vehicle
