Special Buying Purchasing Assistant – Fixed Term Contract
General Summary
This role is ideal for someone who is team-oriented and focused on controlling and improving the efficiency of departmental activities. You will manage an open order book across various approved suppliers and approximately 10,000 SKUs, ensuring timely order delivery and proactive communication with the Specialty Buyers regarding supply chain risks. The candidate should be highly organized, capable of multitasking with varying priorities and deadlines. Familiarity with customs processes and inbound freight terms is essential, along with ensuring compliance with relevant import regulations. Strong Excel skills are preferred but can be developed through provided internal training.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities include purchasing administration across 6 countries and 7 distribution centers, freight and customs management, commodity code handling, expediting, receiving into the SBPro system, SBPro maintenance, managing queries and supplier non-conformance issues, filing, and general administration. Participation in special projects and other duties as required.
Physical Activities
This position involves working in an office environment with typical office equipment. Most tasks will be performed using computers.
Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably within purchasing in an international, multi-base company.
Education
A good level of education.
Specialized Knowledge And Skills
* Experience with an ERP system
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel (advanced preferred), PowerPoint, and Word
Other
European languages are an advantage but not essential.
