A friendly and inclusive school in the BS40 area of Bristol is looking for an enthusiastic Engagement and Learning Support Assistant to join their team full-time from September.
This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children—whether as a sports coach, nursery assistant, swimming teacher, or in a similar setting—who’s ready to bring their energy and skills into the classroom and support pupils across the primary age range.
The Role:
* Support teachers by helping pupils engage with learning across a range of subjects.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support, keeping children focused and helping them make progress.
* Assist with planning and delivering engaging, hands-on learning activities.
* Foster a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
* Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff to help every child succeed.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Has experience working with children in settings like nurseries, sports clubs, after-school programmes, or similar.
* Brings a positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young learners.
* Genuinely passionate about education and supporting children’s development.
* Organised, proactive, and dependable in a classroom setting.
* Holds or is willing to obtain a valid DBS check prior to starting.
