We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day cleaning operations at our educational institution. This role involves managing a team of 17 cleaners, ensuring the cleanliness of the school and its associated areas, including faculty accommodation both on and off campus.
Day-to-day of the role: Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the cleaning operations.
Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors.
Organise and support the daily tasks of the Housekeeping Team in collaboration with the Duty Team Leader.
Supervise the Housekeeping Team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operation and address immediate cleaning needs.
Monitor supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain cleaning schedules and protocols to meet health and safety standards.
Additional Working Hours and Requirements: Standard Working Hours: Typically starts at 8:30 AM, with 8.5 hours of work per day, including a half-hour break.
Weekly Late Start: Once a week, start at 9:30 AM and finish at 6:00 PM to cover the afternoon shift for section checks and staff check-ins.
Early Starts: Occasionally required at 6:00 AM to cover early sections/dormitories.
Flexibility: Essential due to the size and demands of our 46-acre campus.
Driving: Must hold a full UK driver's license as the role involves significant travel between locations on campus.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a housekeeping or cleaning environment.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage a team.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and health and safety regulations.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
