We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who is ready to dive straight in! You will lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and apprentices developing manufacturing processes, tooling and tool design, and equipment necessary to successfully and economically produce Caterpillar's world class Telehandler. As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to Overseeing manufacturing engineering teams and developing the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions. Monitor and report on project health, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are achieved. Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions work with functional teams, using a range of tool e.g. process flows, PFMEA's, control plans. Promote lean and quality as a focus within the business. Project management - Full scope, development, budgets, resources and management of NPI or Improvement projects (Technology/Efficiency/Quality) from initiation to production and program completion. Leading tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc. Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realise operating goals and objectives. Leading the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts. What You Can Demonstrate: Extensive Experience in Manufacturing Processes : Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. Project Management : Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organise, monitor, budgets and control projects, ensuring efficient utilisation of technical and administrative resources to achieve project targets. Manufacturing Safety : Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site. Expert Level In Judgment and Decision Making : Knowledge of process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximise organisational performance. Problem Management Process - MFG : Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution. Leading Teams: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and drive continuous improvement. Experience Of Lean Manufacturing : Knowledge of the philosophy, fundamentals and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes. What You May Have: In-depth knowledge of assembly, testing, finishing, and production processes, with the ability to optimise workflows and ensure quality standards at scale. Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter, including managing complex product data and guiding teams in configuration control. Expertise in quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and fishbone diagrams, with the capability to lead cross-functional problem-solving and implement lasting solutions. Six Sigma leadership, driving process improvement projects and mentoring team members. Degree-level qualification or equivalent, with strong strategic and technical decision-making skills.
