Role Overview
The Early Interventions in Psychosis (EIP) are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Clinical Lead to join our EIP management team. As Clinical Lead, you will lead, monitor and evaluate the clinical practice of the team driving towards clinical excellence. You will provide and oversee clinical supervision and support the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high quality and safe patient centred care and provide senior clinical leadership within the service.
The position will be based within the city locality, base to be agreed as part of the recruitment prices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on service transformation in line with the NHS Long Term Plan and EIP national guidelines, co‑produce and support the evolution of EIP pathway and evidence based interventions with the community mental services.
* Develop pathways of care across the city locality to embed and implement new ways of working.
* Exercise senior clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care whilst working within the team.
* Provide clinical leadership of the EIP, working alongside the Team Leader and in coordinating the team in the delivery of high‑quality multidisciplinary care.
* Ensure patients receive appropriate investigation, intervention and treatment with minimal avoidable delays, whilst improving the quality and experience of care.
* Monitor and lead improvements to standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership.
* Hold qualification relevant to the EIP Provision (Nursing / Social Work / OT / Therapist / Other) and use these skills in collaboration with others to lead clinically in support of the delivery of high quality services to patients and families.
* Complete specialist mental health assessments and develop treatment plans as an autonomous practitioner and monitor interventions, ensuring compliance in accordance with Trust policy.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional registration in Nursing / Social Work / OT / Therapist / Other or equivalent.
* Evidence of active clinical and managerial leadership skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience of providing education and supervision to junior staff members and other professionals.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement evidence based practice and clinical audit.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
