Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B Prison located in Bicester, Oxford.
HMP Bullingdon is a male remand prison that has a capacity for 1,152. The site offers 24 hours healthcare and there is an inpatient unit on-site.
Hours
37.5 hours - Long days 7:30am–7:30pm and nights 7:30pm–7:30am. A minimum of 5 nights across a 4-week period, and working every other weekend.
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will
* Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them — focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
* Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post-registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
