About Us
We are representing a UK-based healthcare technology company dedicated to enhancing the efficiency of the NHS. Our flagship product is an asset tracking platform that enables hospitals and healthcare providers to locate essential medical equipment swiftly and effortlessly. This innovation saves time, reduces staff stress, and allows more focus on patient care. Our technology has already saved the NHS the equivalent of over 1,300 nurses per year and achieved a £43 million saving over five years from a £1.5 million investment.
We aim to help the NHS work smarter, not harder — and seek a strategic, passionate CIO to lead this initiative.
The Role
This is a unique CIO role. We want a confident, NHS-savvy leader who can champion our technology across NHS organisations, ensuring the platform is technically sound, scalable, and NHS-compliant. The focus is on time savings — helping NHS Trusts and ICSs adopt a solution that measurably reduces staff workload and improves system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
NHS Engagement
* Serve as the external tech leader, presenting our solution to NHS CIOs, ICS leads, and procurement teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS stakeholders and decision-makers.
* Translate platform benefits into NHS-focused outcomes (time saved, care improved, costs reduced).
* Shape and lead the overall technology strategy for NHS roll-out.
* Ensure systems comply with NHS standards (e.g., FHIR, DSPT, IG Toolkit).
* Oversee data security, interoperability, and scalability.
Evidence & Insight
* Support development of strong business cases for NHS adoption using real-world data and pilot results.
* Help refine the product and strategy based on NHS feedback.
* Collaborate with the CEO, Product, Commercial, and Legal teams to align tech delivery with business goals.
* Represent the company in NHS forums, digital transformation groups, and bid processes.
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience working with or within the NHS in a digital or IT leadership role.
* Strong understanding of NHS structures, digital priorities, and stakeholder groups.
* Passion for improving healthcare systems through time-saving innovations.
* Excellent communication skills — able to engage NHS leaders confidently.
* Available to start quickly and work independently in a fully remote setup.
* Experience in health tech, asset tracking, RFID, or similar platforms.
* Familiarity with NHS frameworks like WGLL, Scan4Safety, or NHSX priorities.
* Previous involvement in NHS procurement or digital transformation programs.
