SUMMARY
We are an innovative and market leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.
We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role but during your initial training period the need to be in office with other team members will be essential. This role will require travel to client offices including occasional overnight stays.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The main duties (but not limited to) are the following: -
Utilising detailed knowledge of the energy retail industry, ideally gained from first-hand experience, the Associate Consultant will take a strategic role in delivering and developing services within ESG's Consultancy business, including:
Service Values: Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of ESGs Consulting services; Core deliverables and the Values/Benefits the provide energy suppliers. Develop understandings of the root cause behind performance improvements offered and the data in which anomalies can be identified.
Workstream Ownership: Demonstrate the ability to add value to a client project though data analysis and case management. Contribute to the identification, testing and productisation of new analytical initiatives. Display the ability to take ownership of the end-to-end processes of a workstream on a client project.
Data Management and Reporting: Utilise competencies in MS SQL and Power BI to unlock benefit from energy data by delivering and interpreting data outputs and visualisations. Work with the ESG internal teams to evolve our service offerings with new reporting insights.
Interpersonal: Demonstrate and develop first class communication skills and the ability to engage with clients as well as internal colleagues and other industry peers. Demonstrate the skills to discuss industry matters and promote company services and values with confidence.
Testing: With the required level of understanding of application functionality and services offered by ESG Consulting, demonstrate the ability to systematically test software output and with a critical eye and attention to detail, accurately and effectively determine if the solution meets its requirements.
Developing Performance: Demonstration of the following top 10 consultancy qualities: professionalism, time management, judgement, team player, good communication skills, expert industry, technical and service knowledge, good listening, roles & responsibilities, involvement and reputation.

You must have:
Proven to be numerate with analytical capabilities. Highly desirable skill is competence with MS Office, including SQL and Power BI.
Developing understanding of Industry charging and settlements processes, the data that underpins them, and how they interact with each other.
Good written and confident verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate a technical/complex matter to a non-technical audience.
Developing technical skills and demonstrable capabilities using the Microsoft tech stack. Ability to analyse large datasets and extract value and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to follow direction and deliver results to a strong degree of accuracy.
Accurate and timely reporting of activities within a team.
Flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
