About the Role & Schools
We are currently recruiting Trainee Teaching Assistants for permanent, temporary, and long-term supply positions across a network of high-performing and outstanding schools in Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland, Sunderland, Durham, and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
13. Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small-group basis
14. Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
15. Helping pupils with literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation
16. Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, autism, and additional learning needs
17. Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
18. Building strong relationships with pupils and staff

Location & Hours
19. Locations: Secondary & Middle Schools across the North East
20. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
21. Contract Types: Permanent, temporary, and supply roles available

Requirements
To be considered for a Trainee Teaching Assistant role, you will:
23. Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people
24. Be patient, proactive, and reliable
25. Work well as part of a team
26. Have recent and relevant experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
27. Be willing to undertake training as part of our National Teaching Assistant Programme
Qualifications are desirable but not essential. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
