Sport Therapist – Rugby (0.5 FTE)
Location: Henley on Thames
Salary: £27,612.00pa pro rated to £13, FTE)
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent, 18.5 hours per week.
Working Hours: Monday 9:30 - 4:30 (30 min lunch), Wednesday 8:30 - 5:00 (30 min lunch) (match depending), Friday 12:00 - 4:30 (30 min lunch)
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Sports Therapist to join our high-performance Rugby Programme at The Henley College. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in supporting the physical and medical development of student-athletes across our Girls' and Boys' Rugby teams.
Working alongside the Head Coach and Programme Manager, you will deliver high-quality injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation programmes. You will provide pitch-side care during training and fixtures (including national travel), as well as assisting with the wider operational and strategic development of our rugby programmes.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is passionate about student-athlete welfare, thrives in a team environment, and is committed to high performance in education and sport.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong clinical knowledge with a positive, student-focused approach. The ideal candidate will have:
· A Sports Therapy qualification (or currently working towards one)
· A valid PHICIS Level 2 qualification (Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport)
· Experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing injuries, especially those common in rugby (e.g. soft tissue injuries, joint sprains, concussion)
· Confidence in delivering tailored rehab and prehab programmes
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, coaches and external stakeholders
· A flexible, adaptable, and professional approach to working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
· A full driving license and willingness to complete minibus training (if not already qualified)
