The Opportunity We are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Class Teacher to join the team from September 2025, teaching across either Primary or Secondary phase depending on experience and preference. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering creative, individualised teaching that enables pupils to build confidence, develop core skills, and achieve their personalised outcomes. Key Responsibilities Tailored Teaching : Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs and EHCP targets of pupils across a small-group setting. Pupil Support : Foster positive relationships, encouraging social, emotional, and academic development through a therapeutic, trauma-informed lens. Assessment & Planning : Regularly assess pupil progress using formative and summative tools to inform teaching and adapt support strategies. Cross-phase Collaboration : Work with colleagues across the Primary and Secondary teams to ensure seamless transitions and shared best practices. Inclusive Environment Creation : Maintain a classroom that is structured, sensory-aware, and responsive to pupil interests and regulation needs. Resourceful Teaching : Utilise a wide range of specialist resources and interventions to enhance the learning experience. Professional Development : Engage in continued learning around neurodiversity, communication needs, and emotional development. Qualifications and Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience teaching within Primary, Secondary, or SEND environments. Familiarity with EHCPs and differentiated curriculum planning. Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills. A positive, reflective approach with a commitment to inclusive practice.
