About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Female Support Workers with previous Support Worker experience to join our specialised team. We support children and young adults with complex needs within the areas of Sheffield, Rotherham & Doncaster. We support clients within nurseries, schools, accessing the community and within their home. We support them to achieve their personal goals and outcomes.

(This role requires the successful applicant to be aware of the importance of our clients clinical needs which requires the Support Worker to remain observant and attentive throughout their role by monitoring and recording all intervention and presentation of our clients.)
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one to one/two to one support which remains safe. Supporting with a range of needs including epilepsy, tracheostomy care, including suctioning, specialised feeding techniques and emergency management if needed (full training is provided with the support of our Clinical Leads and Case Leaders).
* Monitor clients wellbeing and assisting with other aspects of health and personal care.
* Offer emotional and social support, helping to maintain routines, interests, and independence.
* Work closely with families, clinical team, healthcare professionals, education and other support workers to deliver consistent care.
* Maintain accurate records and follow care plans and risk assessments.

All Support Workers are fully trained, mentored and guided to ensure excellence is delivered and our clients receive consistent support by their team of regular Support Workers.

The care and support provided by Care and Support Workers isexpected to include support that would reasonably be given by members of the clientsfamily and is not to include tasks that would normally be undertaken by atrained nurse.
Principal responsibilities
To assist clientswho need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, includingdressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet.
To help clientswith their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinenceand use of personal aids and equipment.
To supportclients out in the community such as trips shopping, to the cinema or other daytrips.
To care for clientswho are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding etc.
To provide careand support for clients who may be terminally ill.
To help in thepromotion of mental and physical activities of clients through talking,outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
To make andchange beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying.
To supportclients within school or educational settings.
To supportclients with tracheostomy care, PEG care and other complex health conditionswhere applicable.
To prepare andserve light meals, clearing away and washing up.
To read andwrite reports and be involved in clients reviews and training activities.
To adhere toall Caremarks policies and procedures at all times.
To reporteither to the Case Leader or Care Manager any significant changes in the healthor circumstances of a client.
To encouragethe independence of clients wherever possible.
