The role
As a Lead Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role on the Sizewell C programme, one of the UK’s largest and most important nuclear infrastructure projects. This is a high‑impact position where your leadership and insight will shape how a complex, multi‑discipline project is planned, coordinated and delivered.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
* Own and maintain the integrated project schedule, ensuring alignment across all disciplines and workstreams.
* Lead critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, scenario planning and mitigation strategies.
* Coordinate and mentor planning engineers, promoting consistent standards, tools and reporting.
* Produce and present high‑quality planning reports and forecasts to senior stakeholders.
* Facilitate planning workshops and collaborative sessions with project teams, partners and suppliers.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience
* Proven experience planning large, complex projects or programmes.
* Experience working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure or rail.
* Strong, hands‑on expertise using Primavera P6.
* Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring planning teams.
* A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to multi‑discipline programme delivery.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (desirable).
* Recognised project management qualification such as APM, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Security Clearance
