Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our busy team at a family run Bistro. Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh food with the opportunity to have more of a life work balance and make what you do matter? No more split shifts or night working, just working 07:30 until around 15:30 5 days a week with 2 days off.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and safety, with a flair for creating exceptional dishes that enhance the dining experience. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in managing kitchen operations and ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation with the ability to work under pressure without losing your cool.
Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations.
* Delivering consistent quality and exceptional customer satisfaction.
* Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
* Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements
* Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
* Proven experience as a Chef/Chef de Partie/ Sous Chef in a restaurant/bistro/cafe or hospitality setting, with strong culinary skills.
* In-depth knowledge of food production techniques, food safety practices, HCCP, nutrition and kitchen management.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
