Food Technician
Working Hours: 27.5 hours per week [8am – 2pm Mon to Fri, hours negotiable to suit the right candidate].
Working Weeks: Term-time plus training days
Salary: NJC Scale K £24,153 - £25,603 (Full Time Equivalent) [pay award pending from April 2025]
Actual salary: £15,372 - £16,295 if working 27.5 hrs per week
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful Food Technician to support our Catering department.
If you have strong organisational skills and strive to work confidently to a high standard, we welcome your application for this role. You will be tactful, resilient, have a good sense of humour, be approachable, and willing to help colleagues. You also need to be self-reliant and well-organised.

The Catering Department
Our Catering department is successful and popular at Key Stage 4, engaging students with practical lessons and delicious recipes. Our curriculum aims to equip students with skills in catering, food preparation, and nutrition, preparing them for further study and life. We foster positive relationships and encourage students to take responsibility for their success. The department is part of the Creative Technology faculty, known for being reflective and supportive.
