About You
You will be a key member of the Water Consultancy business, working alongside water project experts on capital delivery projects. You will contribute to optioneering, design and detailed cost control services in the North West, ensuring strong project controls and quality outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
* Support a commercial team to achieve high client satisfaction and project outcomes.
* Display high technical capability and commercial knowledge of cost and value drivers.
* Capture and share knowledge, driving innovation in service delivery.
* Communicate effectively and maintain a professional outlook.
* Provide high-quality quantity surveying and cost control services in relevant sectors.
* Travel to multiple sites as required by the client.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Work with external professional teams to develop sourcing and contracting solutions.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
* Understand sourcing strategies and provide supporting data.
* Lead procurement process including tender pack development and evaluation.
* Negotiate and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
* Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contract terms.
* Monitor project expenditure and implement cost-saving strategies.
* Certify progress payments to contractors and suppliers.
* Resolve disputes between clients, contractors and suppliers, ensuring solutions comply with contract terms.
* Manage claims, variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
* Maintain accurate records of all project financials, contracts and correspondence.
* Work in large programme teams with diverse interfaces and cultures, prioritising engagement and outcomes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Valid driving licence.
* ICS Chartered or willingness to work towards chartership.
