About The Role Cala Management Ltd are looking to recruit a People Coordinator on a hybrid basis to join the team based near Edinburgh Park (location may be flexible in line with our regional and head offices). Reporting directly to the People Team Operations Manager, you will support our businesses across the UK & Group teams in a range of administrative and processing tasks across the employee lifecycle. This will include recruitment administration in the Eploy recruitment system and Workday HRIS, parental leave meetings and correspondence, note taking at ER meetings, monitoring sick pay entitlements, leaver administration in Workday and Policy updates. You will also provide a proactive, professional customer support service to employees and managers through Helpdesk queries within agreed timeframes, referring more complex queries where necessary. You will have the opportunity to lead or support on a variety of projects within the team to continuously improve systems and processes. Currently this includes the continued adoption of Workday by employees and managers and becoming more digitally focused as a team. About The Candidate You will be a logical thinker and a problem solver, delving into the detail to get to a solution. We are a supportive team though, so help is on hand if you need it. We need someone who will look at the bigger picture and not just the task that is right in front of them. You will have previous systems experience from a people team administration point of view, and if this is with Workday or Eploy, even better. As Cala moves into a new Digital age, we need someone in the team who is analytical with data and can use Excel to manipulate this data. This will likely include pivot tables and many different formulas. Attention to detail is extremely important in the work we do, whether that’s providing data to the business or answering questions from employees and managers. You’ll also have knowledge and exposure to people team processes and legislation, with the ability to write correspondence or respond to queries concisely in a format that is understandable by those who don’t work in HR. ‘That’s the way we’ve always done it’ is not in our vocabulary, so a passion for making things better is also a requirement. We work flexibly with give and take on both sides, so you’ll need to be organised in this autonomous role to juggle your priorities. Our ideal candidate will be a professional team player who is passionate about both people and the customer experience. Culture is important to us and you’ll be joining a close knit and supportive team which is part of a people focused business. We offer an excellent benefits package which includes 34 days holiday (increasing by a day each year to a maximum of 40), the option to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday, single private healthcare, enhanced salary sacrifice pension contributions of 5% employee, 10% employer, ULEV car scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, retail discounts and much more! We recognise that a diverse team makes us a stronger and more successful company. We value different ideas and perspectives as it helps improve our decision-making, products and services. And we’re striving to create an inclusive work environment, in which everyone can feel comfortable as themselves, uniquely contribute and do their best work. If we need to adjust anything in our recruitment process to support you, please contact (url removed) The closing date to apply for this role is Wednesday 14th May 2025. Please note that depending on the volume of applications we receive, we may close this advert ahead of the closing date.
