Responsibilities
* Prepare graves and cremation plots in accordance with relevant legislation and safety standards.
* Carry out interments and assist funeral directors and mourners in a professional and respectful manner.
* Maintain cemetery grounds, memorials, and landscaped areas, including but not limited to grass cutting, strimming, blowing, and general upkeep.
* Operate and maintain equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Support colleagues across Bereavement Services when required.
Qualifications
* Experience in burial and or cremation services.
* Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar outdoor environment.
* An understanding of health and safety regulations.
* The ability to work sensitively and respectfully with members of the public.
* You should also be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and as part of a small, supportive team.
Alongside this you’ll need to be a competent, dependable, and motivated individual with a keen eye for detail.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
