Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Poole
Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Poole area. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 3 with Autism, starting in September 2025.
Whether you’ve worked in education before or supported children in other settings—such as a nursery, care environment, youth work, or coaching—we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
Provide 1:1 tailored support to a pupil with Autism, helping them engage with the curriculum and flourish in the classroom.
Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
Create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Collaborate with school staff and SEN professionals to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
Participate in school activities, training, and meetings as required.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
Experience working with children in any capacity.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
