* We are looking for an Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer with significant experience in developing bare-metal embedded software using C/C++. Candidates should have prior experience in the development and verification of embedded software to high safety integrity levels, such as DO-178C Level B or SIL-4, or equivalent standards. Familiarity with requirements capture tools, requirements analysis, source configuration control processes (e.g., PVCS, RTC, GIT), and attention to detail is essential. Additionally, the ability to debug complex problems and produce necessary documentation for safety compliance is required. Experience working in a team and collaborating with members from other disciplines, such as Systems, Integration, and Electronics, will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
* In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for delivering the on-board software for the next generation of missile systems. This includes architecting, designing, implementing, and testing missile subsystem software according to required standards and processes. You will author specifications throughout the full lifecycle, including planning, design, and test documents. Additionally, you will conduct unit testing using tools like LDRA or RAPITA, understand code coverage techniques, and work in a lab environment with live equipment, performing system tests.

This role is for an initial 6-month contract, with a highly likely extension, and follows an inside IR35 (Umbrella) status. The position will be hybrid, with an expectation of being onsite four days a week, and occasional remote working is possible.
