The RCN Foundation is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join the team as our
Benevolent Grants Manager. This is a fixed term contract starting mid December to cover maternity leave until January 2027. Salary:
£54,537 (including inner London weighting of £5262).
You will have
extensive experience and skills to manage a first-class benevolent grants service at the RCN Foundation. This service is bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in making key decisions relating to our grant-making activity to individuals in need across the UK.
Your role will involve managing the Benevolent Service Team and supporting them with assessing applications and agreeing grants. You will ensure the online application portal on the CRM is used to its full potential to manage all grant applications. You will also provide support to individuals through the relevant and comprehensive signposting hub, which you will keep-up-to date ensuring it is tailored to the needs of the nursing and midwifery professions.
As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you'll need an in-depth knowledge of best practice in respect to hardship and benevolence across more than one country of the UK. You will need to have significant experience of working in a grant-making charities. Understanding and experience of the processes of managing a benevolent service including managing the grant-making activity and evaluating the impact of the Foundation's support are essential.
You'll need to demonstrate you are able to work in a small team and respond swiftly to demand for the service, which is driven by external factors such as the cost-of-living crisis.
You will be experienced in report writing, analysing data for trends and responding to these. You will be able to present information in a concise way to a range of stakeholders.
