To support our growth, Boccard is looking for experienced QC Inspectors to work at our fully digital manufacturing plant in Deeside. The role involves being part of an experienced team of quality engineers and QC inspectors working closely with technical and production departments in manufacturing nuclear fabrications.

The role involves carrying out inspections on materials, components, and systems in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, including contracts with Hinkley Point C (HPC) and future Nuclear New Build (NNB) sites. Responsibilities include performing non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing, maintaining detailed records, and preparing reports on quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

1. Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Perform NDT methods such as radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
2. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
3. Compliance and Standards: Ensure activities comply with nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Monitor adherence to QA/QC plans.
4. Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams. Communicate effectively regarding quality concerns and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

* CSWIP 3.1 certification with experience as a welding inspector
* Preferably certification in PCN Level 2 MPI, UT, Radiographic Interpretation
* Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Previous experience as a welder, fabricator, or pipefitter is advantageous

The candidate should develop strong working relationships within the company and with external partners.
