A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join a well-regarded, food-led country inn set in a stunning rural location. This is a kitchen that takes real pride in creating refined dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients, delivering a memorable dining experience in a relaxed yet professional setting. You will work closely with the Head Chef to drive standards, inspire the team and maintain consistency across a busy service.
Senior Sous Chef Ideal Profile:
A confident and skilled chef with a strong background in fresh food kitchens
Comfortable leading a team and supporting junior chefs with training and development
Passionate about seasonal produce and high standards of presentation
Calm and organised under pressure during busy services
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance
Ambitious and motivated to contribute ideas and support menu development
Senior Sous Chef Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
Lead the team during service ensuring consistency and quality at all times
Assist with menu creation using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
Train, mentor and develop junior members of the brigade
Oversee stock control, ordering and minimising wastage
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and maintained consistently
