Hours: 30 hours per week, part-time & flexible Holiday: 28 days (pro-rata) including public holidays Salary: £14.38 per hour rising to £15.14 per hour on achievement of SCQF Level 7 qualification in Health & Social Care Sponsorship: Not applicable for this vacancy Closing date: 1 June 2025 Sunflower Care at Home Service is developing an Inverness-based service that supports end of life care for people with both cancer and non-cancer conditions. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Sunflower Home Care Co-ordinator Reporting to the Sunflower Care at Home Officer, you can expect your working day to include the following: Assessing the physical and emotional needs of the supported person and developing a care package and care plan Supporting team members to provide excellent holistic, person-centred, palliative care. Facilitate staff meetings, offer supervision, identify training needs. Liaise with MDT and network with NHS colleagues/SWS and Health The Home Care Co-ordinator supports people from all walks of life. Being a PCRS Home Care Co-ordinator doesn’t just mean helping service users to remain at home and independent as possible while respecting their rights of choice, privacy and dignity. It also means working as part of a team to develop personalised care plans and supporting our staff to deliver the best possible end-of-life care. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements To succeed in the role of Sunflower Home Care Co-ordinator you will need the following qualities and skills: Experience of caring/support work for others is essential. Having a caring nature and strong belief in teamwork are very important. You need to be comfortable talking to, and working with, people from different back grounds and professions, you’re great at keeping records, too. SVQ 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent – or willingness to work towards this. PDA in Supervision or equivalent – or willingness to work towards this. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or having a nominated driver who enables you to travel for work purposes. Experience of managing small teams. Compassionate and caring. Dedicated and passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives.
