We're working with a
prestigious corporate head office
to recruit a
Head Chef
to lead a high-performing culinary team across
two commercial kitchens
in a private dining environment. This is a
senior leadership role
, focused on quality, consistency, and innovation.
Role Overview
Oversee two commercial kitchens serving:-
* Private dining rooms
* Event Functions
* Lead and manage a
team of 13
:
* 2 Sous Chefs
* 4 Chef de Parties
* Commis Chefs & Kitchen Porters
Responsible for:
* Creating seasonal menus
* Organizing rotas
* Overseeing food quality and consistency
* Maintaining kitchen due diligence and compliance
* Heavy administrative duties
—a strong grasp of catering/B&I standards is essential
What We're Looking For:-
* A
culinary-trained Head Chef
with a
varied background
—ideally across
contract catering and hospitality
(hotels/restaurants)
* Experience producing
fine dining dishes
to a high standard
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Passionate, innovative, and ambitious—someone who can
inspire and elevate the kitchen
* Comfortable with
admin-heavy environments
and compliance
* Preference for
classical, traditional cooking styles
(not modernist techniques like foams/gels/sous vide)
* Experience in
venues like Elystan Street (Phil Howard)
or similar is highly desirable
