Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
Location: East Midlands (Derby, Leicester, Lincoln and Nottingham)

The Role
As a Learner Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for recruiting learners and driving learner engagement across the East Midlands. You will play a key role in connecting adults with skills training and employability programmes that improve their career prospects.
Key responsibilities include:

Actively recruiting learners and engaging individuals from diverse communities
*
Promoting adult education, employability, and skills training programmes to potential learners and partners
*
Conducting initial learner engagement and suitability assessments
*
Supporting learners through enrolment and explaining programme benefits
*
Building and maintaining relationships with community organisations, job centres, and referral networks
*
Maintaining accurate records of learner engagement and recruitment activity
*
Supporting learners at the start of their programmes to ensure a smooth onboarding and positive learning experience
This is a dynamic, people-focused role where your efforts in recruiting learners and supporting learner engagement will directly impact their employability outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be proactive, confident, and passionate about recruiting learners and engaging adult learners to improve employability and skills development.
You will ideally have:

Experience in learner recruitment, learner engagement, or recruiting learners within a training, employability, or adult education environment
*
Experience working with employability programmes, adult education, or Adult Education Budget (AEB) funded training
*
Knowledge of local community networks, job centres, and referral organisations
*
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and outreach skills
*
Ability to work independently and manage outreach activity across the East Midlands
*
Confidence engaging with adults from diverse backgrounds
