Grade/Range: E - 5 Hours per week: Hours to Suit Hourly Rate: £13.27 Working Week: Monday - Friday Contract Type: Casual/Bank Supply Location: Brooke School – SEN Sc Start Date: ASAP About us Brooke School is an all age (3-19) generic special school in Rugby which meets the needs of pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs. Our school is part of Unity MAT, which is a small, ambitious trust comprising of ourselves and two other similar special schools. Our collaborative working means that we have shared understanding of the challenges and issues that our schools face and can work together to find solutions. The schools are supported by a strong Core Team who provide dedicated support services across the Trust. What we need We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our bank of casual staff to help support with pupils’ needs throughout their school day. Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Education Needs, do you seek flexible work that truly matters and help shape our learners’ future, The main duties of the role are:- • Working as part of a team with the flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. • Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may have challenging behaviours or specific learning difficulties. • To provide personal care for learners, including, changing, toileting, showering, washing, dressing and undressing, care of clothes, personal hygiene where required. Communicate inter-actively, make drinks, feed, supervise learners at appropriate times throughout the day. • To support access to learning by undertaking a range of practical duties within the class room including physical care of pupil(s) as appropriate. • To support pupils learning as directed by the class teacher • Assist with preparation of learning materials and resources, participate in record keeping and provide feedback about learning activities.
