Corteva Agriscience offers an experienced Analytical Chemist position in the Regulatory Analytical Sciences Team of Global Regulatory Sciences R&D. The role provides cross‑disciplinary analytical support and regulatory expertise to enable registration of new products and to defend existing products in the market. The position is based at one of Corteva’s office locations with a hybrid working model; full‑remote arrangements may be considered for exceptional senior candidates.
Primary Responsibilities
* Serve as an analytical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on regulatory projects for a portfolio of molecules.
* Act as Principal Investigator (PI) and/or Study Director (SD) for GLP analytical phase studies and method validations according to project timelines.
* Collaborate with other disciplines within project and regulatory teams to provide analytical chemistry support for analytical phases of studies and to support regulatory strategies.
* Comply with all laboratory safety procedures, GLP standards, and all other study‑specific or regulatory agency requirements.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a BS degree in Chemistry (or higher).
* Industry experience in quantitative analytical chemistry: 5 years for BS candidates or 3 years for MS or PhD candidates.
* Technical project management experience and demonstrated proficiency.
* Ability to conduct research and deliver finalized methods in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
* Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and initiative skills for research/project planning and execution.
* Flexibility to accommodate urgent projects.
* Technical reporting and documentation skills.
* Capability to present complex technical information appropriately to diverse audiences and distill complex data sets into clear messages.
* Agriculture industry experience.
* Quantitative LC‑MS/MS residue analytical experience with small molecules.
* Quantitative analytical experience on agricultural samples – crops, compost, animal tissues.
* Experience with quantitative extractions and sample clean‑up techniques from complex agricultural matrices.
* Instrumentation expertise and troubleshooting capabilities.
* Quantitative analytical experience in a governmental regulated environment such as EPA, FDA, EU regulatory bodies or equivalent.
* Regulatory analytical molecule management experience as SME, focal point, or related role.
